I get GW burnout from time to time. Take a few days (or longer) off and do something else. It's those days off when I think about what goal I want to accomplish and work towards that goal when I next log on.

Fridays are devoted to guild events, when I know I'm going to be with good friends just having fun.

It's not a contradiction but your right, it's not easy for some. I find a lot of people are too sensitive to the words of by some anonymous loser. Why would you care what a person like that says to you? Write them off and continue to enjoy yourself. Stepping in dog shit isn't a pleasant experience but you don't cry over it, you rub it off and get back on your way.

That's why I mentioned keeping that resolve. If you're the type of person who takes things personally, going in with the right attitude makes all the difference. Playing with someone who has your back against jackasses can help out too.

  • Make a new character!
  • Play hard mode!
  • Buy all that armor or weapons or mini pets you always wanted!
  • There is always something to do....

....or go play Hellgate London or some other game for 2 years!

Its just a game and even though ive played it for 2 years, im realistic in that it will eventually get boring and ill move on to something else. Go experience life outside the house and enjoy the sun and get a pint down the pub (assuming your off legal drinking age).

Im in exactly the same situation!

I have all the armor id want, ive all the weapons id want, ive done all 3 campaigns in HM and all quests (almost) and explored all areas. Ive nothing to do but either titles or play a different char.

Im close to leaving and playing something else and considering im 25, ill be about 27 when GW2 is released and hopefully have a life to distract me by then (fingers crossed).

How I keep busy

Pve with my mate = all content
Take my pve char's into Ab or RA
Do some Serious HA every now and again
Farm Farm Farm

and if all fails

Go out with my Gf for a meal

... joking, real life comes first, but GW is always fun to me (29 months 2500 hours)

It seems this thread is heading down the same path as...Just quit, do something new.

If you need more suggestions refer to this thread...

Ab is the most relaxing form of Pvp Imo
12 vs 12, cap or kill (I suggest cap)
And with 12 people to taunt..... sweet.

Also

I also suggest you and your guildies, form a group of 8, and just walk through explorable areas in normal mode, not really killing just enjoying the sights...and hanging around. (its rather relaxing when you just Look around gw...then you see how great the art is)

Ya GW art is still nice >.> And theres still crazy AB builds.

I "quit" GW last week - just because I have a busy month coming.

Just before I uninstalled GW, I had stacked tremendous wealth in ectos/rubies/sapphires, mini-pets, several elite tomes, and rare weapons. Now I ask myself why I even bothered to do all that.

I still got GW at work and will possibly log in from time to time for a few minutes, but not for myriad number of hours as I used to do at home.

Perhaps I may return when the bonus pack is out (which is under my account). But there is not telling for sure. One thing is for certain - I will never forget my characters in GW, unlike those in Diablo, NeverWinter etc.

It's funny I'm writing about all this and even visiting this forum when I "don't" want to play GW anymore. This goes to show how great of a game GW is.

I suggest you take a break until the beta for GW2, which will hopefully be some time next year. There are alot of other MMO's around to play and the thrill of playing a new game can last a long time. I'm going to play Stargate Worlds when it comes out(which is likely sometime in 2009) and I do have other hobbies aside from video games.

Take a break for a few months, your characters will still be here when you get back.

Watch Terrorstorm and Endgame by Alex Jones. They expose the men who are ushering world government with the ultimate goal of enslaving the worlds population. It's all backed-up by concrete fact too.
Zeitgeist is another nice documentary, so long as you don't mind being religiously displaced (warning, you will become an atheist after watching that one).

Lots of unanswered questions in your mind will suddenly be answered by watching those, aswell as new questions arising, and you'll have an insatiable desire to seek more answers. I know because it has dominated my time for the past few months.

K, enough politics and conspiracy stuff :P
